Metadata Worksheets
Using spreadsheets for metadata creation can increase efficiency, since many data elements, like rights statements, are repeated across items. Spreadsheets make it easy to repeat information through drag-and-drop and copy-and-paste. Additionally, spreadsheets are great for proofreading because you can scan down rows to easily identify typos, incorrect data formats, and other issues. These templates are provided as a jumping off point to help you create metadata that adheres to PPC Metadata guidelines. The Omeka CSV Template can be used to upload data in bulk to Omeka.
