Stories of Colorado is a collection of Colorado-related content from individuals and institutions that do not have an online content management system themselves, but have interesting and relevant pieces of Colorado history and culture to share. The collection is curated by Colorado State Library and includes oral essays, photographs and images, documents, videos—whatever captures the experiences of the people in our great state.
The Stories of Colorado collection also supports the growth of other services provided by Colorado State Library to the cultural heritage community. For instance, it hosts the oral history recordings created as part of the Tell Your Story activity in the CSL Big Red Resource Kits. And since Stories of Colorado is part of the CVL Collections program, any digital items contributed to it will be made available in the Digital Public Library of America through the Plains to Peaks Collective.
